Little Farm star Melissa Sue Anderson opens up about her decision to leave Hollywood and move to Canada.

How many times have you thought of an old TV series that you loved and wondered what the actors were up to after so many years?

I suspect that many of you who have seen Our Little Farm and are excited about each new adventure of the family who lived on the Plum Creek farm near Walnut Grove, Minnesota, would like to know what the actors are up to these days- this.

Those who loved the actress who played Mary Ingalls, the beautiful Melissa Sue Anderson, were convinced that she would continue to be a part of their lives on screen, but she had other plans.

Today, she talks about her decision to leave Hollywood and move to Canada. This actress started her career as a guest actress and rose through the ranks in the entertainment industry when she became one of the main characters in Little Farm.

Her performance earned her several nominations for Best Actress in a Drama Series, and her fans knew she deserved it.

Reflecting on her experience filming the drama that made her famous in 2010, Anderson said in an interview with Pop Entertainment: “I was lucky to even land a role because there’s no lots of her in the book.

Laura [Ingalls, author of the Little Farm books on which the series is based and around which the story revolves] was quite old when she wrote those books. She remembered the best moments of her life.

The characters of Mom and Mary didn’t have much impact. It was a lot about Laura and Pa, and Laura and Jack the dog, and Laura and Mr. Edwards, but not so much about Mary. I was lucky that they found out I could play.

After Mary Ingalls, she tried more modest roles, but in 1990 she married television producer Michael Sloan and moved to Montreal in 2002 with her husband and two children, daughter Piper and son Griffin.

In 2007, the family became Canadian citizens and their new life brought new responsibilities. Therefore, Anderson decided to retire from the entertainment industry as she wanted to spend more time with her children and did not want them to be pressured to pursue acting careers.

In an interview with E-Talk, Anderson said, “I was retired for a very long time. It was mostly so the kids could make up their own minds about who they were, rather than being with me all the time.

However, Anderson has not stopped acting completely, but has instead taken on smaller roles in recent years.

The life-changing experience of being part of a series like Our Little Farm encouraged her to write her memoir with the

Title “The Way I See It: A Look Back at My Life in Little House.”
