In 2018, five-member boy band Bring It North charmed Britain’s Got Talent viewers with their heavenly vocals and endearing personalities. When they auditioned for BGT, the five members—Harry, Max, Toby, Oscar, and Felix—were around ten or twelve years old. They sang Billy Elliot’s “Electricity.” Judge Alesha Dixon believed their performance would inspire many young people like them, and they were immediately advanced to the next round.
Despite performing a brilliant cover of The Greatest Showman’s “A Million Dreams,” the group were unfortunately eliminated in the semi-finals. However, in an effort to console their devastated fans, they shared a rehearsal video of themselves doing the cover – a more vocally complex performance than the one they performed on TV – as a freebie. Numerous commentators across the country praised the boys’ talent for their heavenly harmonies as soon as the video was posted.
Another fan admitted, “Not many singing videos give me goosebumps, but this one easily did,” and another commented, “These boys harmonize so well.” With their stunning layered vocals and deep harmonies, the ensemble creates an uplifting version that’s sure to give you goosebumps – the video has racked up over a million views since its release. Best of all, the boys’ proud parents are seen in the background, showing their support for their brave young sons.
Even after Britain’s Got Talent eliminated Bring It North, the group’s involvement with the show was only just beginning. Following the competition, the five members began regularly performing around the country. Case in point: a 2018 video of them performing an energetic cover of The Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back,” which sent audiences into a frenzy and led some to speculate that they could be Motown’s next big act.
