Stan Urban and Sir Tom Jones’ Fiery Performance

79-year-old rock ‘n’ roll pianist Stan Urban joined legendary Sir Tom Jones, 83, on The Voice UK for a spontaneous rendition of Jerry Lee Lewis’ “Great Balls of Fire.” Their energetic performance had the audience on their feet, clapping and cheering.

Urban, originally from Dundee, Scotland, impressed during his blind audition with Chuck Berry’s “Little Queenie.” His dynamic piano playing and robust baritone voice caught the attention of judge Olly Murs, who turned his chair in support.

Reaction of the Public and the Judges

The judges and audience were visibly delighted with Urban’s performance, with many urging the other judges to turn their chairs around. Despite the enthusiastic response, Murs was the only judge to turn around, securing Urban for his team.
