Tropical fruits are increasingly present on our tables, and now we can find them in every supermarket. The delight of the flavor, of course, depends on our personal tastes; however, the aesthetics of these plants are unknown to almost everyone. Yet, many tropical plants, in addition to producing vitamin-rich fruits, are also very beautiful. If we want to create a unique corner in our house, growing a mango plant from a simple fruit is truly very simple.”

“How to quickly and easily grow mango at home! Required materials: A well-sharpened knife, some sheets of absorbent paper, a little water, a transparent plastic container, transparent film.

How to extract the seed: When we prepare a mango for eating, we usually don’t pay much attention to the seed. However, in this case, it is necessary not to damage it.

If the fruit is very ripe, simply make an incision around the perimeter, trying not to touch the seed, and then rotate the two halves to release it. If, on the other hand, the pulp is firmer, we will have to make slices, always being careful not to touch the seed, releasing it gradually.

Once we have the coveted seed in our hands, we need to extract the inside, again being very careful not to ruin it. There is usually a slit on the outside; we start from there to open it and extract the inner pulp; it should come out completely intact.

How to treat the seed to grow the plant: When we finally have the mango seed in our hands, gently wrap it in a few sheets of absorbent paper, place it inside the container, and with our hands or a spray, wet the entire paper. It should be well-soaked but not dripping wet. We wrap the entire container with plastic wrap; this way, we will have created a mini greenhouse that will ensure the seed remains in the right conditions of temperature and humidity. Place the container in a well-lit area but away from direct sunlight. In about ten days, you will see the first sprouts of our beautiful mango plant germinating.”
