“This man takes girlfriend and her daughter 1 mile into the woods and then asks the child a question that makes the mother cry.”

ROZRYWKA

“For most men, a marriage proposal means a girl, a ring and a long-awaited ‘I do!’

But for Grant Tribbett, proposing to his girlfriend Cassandra Reschar meant asking for the hand of TWO beautiful ladies at the same time. Cassandra shared the May 27 engagement on The Knot’s ‘How He Asked.’

“My daughter and I got dressed up and he took us to Cracker Barrel,” the 26-year-old wrote. ‘Confused as to why I was all dressed up to go to Cracker Barrel, I immediately became nervous.’

After they ate, Grant took the single mother and her 5-year-old daughter Adrianna to Ritchey Woods Nature Preserve in Fishers, Indiana. Cassandra said she immediately sensed something special was going on, but didn’t want to jump to conclusions.

Together they walked for miles through the forest, all dressed up, and Cassandra in heels, until they came to a wooden bridge in the middle of the forest.

Mandi Gilliland, Cassandra’s friend and professional photographer, came out of the woods to capture the moment when Grant got down on his knees and proposed to Cassandra! Grant returned to one knee and looked at Adrianna after she answered enthusiastically, ‘Yes.’

‘Can I be your daddy, Adrianna, and promise to love and protect you for the rest of your life?’ he said.

While the mother shed tears of joy, Adrianna replied like a real five-year-old child: ‘Thank you!’ Adrianna exclaimed when asked if she wanted Grant to marry her mother and become her father. ,Yes! I’m finally getting a dad, mom!’

Both ladies in Grant’s life received a shiny piece of jewelry. For Cassandra an engagement ring and for Adrianna a heart-shaped necklace with her two favorite colors.

Cassandra said that Grant’s proposal to Adrianna meant ‘the absolute world’ to her.

‘In my opinion, finding the man your soul loves is special, but also finding a man who loves your child unconditionally was a dream I never thought could come true.

‘ Grant says the transition from single man to full-time father hasn’t been the easiest, but he “wouldn’t change it for the world.”

Knowing that Cassandra was a single mother before their first date, Grant says, was one of the many characteristics of his now-fiancée that won his heart.

‘[Adrianna] taught me so much about life and has really given my life more meaning.’

The couple plans to get married in December and Adrianna will have the special duty of serving as her mom’s flower girl and sharing a special first dance with her new dad.”
