This couple transformed an old school bus into an incredible little house. Take a look inside!

POZYTYWNE HISTORIE

Nothing beats the feeling of living in your dream home for the rest of your life.

We all have our own version of the “humble home” we dreamed of as children.

But for Nicholas and Francesca, their ideal home meant a house that understood their adventurous spirit.

It all started with the documentation.

After being inspired by a couple traveling across the country, Nicholas and Francesca looked at each other and knew this was their next big decision.

After a month of preparation and hard work, the loving couple transformed an old school bus into a stylish, solar-powered home on wheels.

“We didn’t really need all the space we had in our house in Chicago.

We liked the freedom to explore and have adventures. And I guess we felt like we were stuck in a rut.”

Nicholas and Francesca were unhappy with their day jobs before they converted their school bus into a self-sufficient mobile home.

Every week in Chicago each of them had to work at least 60 hours.

This couple has always had a strong desire to travel lurking in the back of their minds, waiting to be released.

On weekends, Nicholas and Francesca enjoy hiking, walking their dogs, and exploring the surrounding area.

The couple thought that if they could make these activities the center of their lives, they would regain their freedom and enjoy their youth.

The adventurous duo did not want to wait several years to make their dreams come true.

They found an old North Carolina school bus at an auction and converted it into a downsized home.

With five 100-watt solar panels, a wood-burning stove, and an 80-gallon water tank, the Skoolie can remain fully operational even in the most remote mountains and areas.

The bus is 38 feet long and 7.5 feet wide. The first thing that catches your eye is the elegant stonework at the entrance, the solar panel and the dashboard converted into a sofa.

The couple’s home is also equipped with air conditioning and a generator to keep the entire bus cozy and warm.

Just past the kitchen you will see the shower with matching stone tiles, similar to the entry steps.

Opposite the shower area is the composting toilet and sink.

With a total of almost $60,000, they were able to have the home of their dreams while living the most exciting adventure wherever their mobile home took them.

“We never really settled into our homes, and we were never able to show up at our house like that and get everything we wanted.
