The tallest woman in the world sets three more records

POZYTYWNE HISTORIE

“If someone were to be the tallest woman in the world, there’s a high chance that she would also have the largest hands and fingers. This is exactly the case for Rumeysa Gelgi. At 25 years old, she stands as the tallest woman on the planet at 2.5 meters and has recently achieved three new records. For most people of such height, it becomes a curse, but for Gelgi, height has been an immense blessing, despite the obvious challenges she has had to face.

This woman also holds the records for the largest hands, longest fingers, and longest back among all women. Her right hand measures 24.93 cm (9.8 inches), while the average woman’s hand measures 17 cm (6.7 inches). Like any other person who has achieved the record for being the tallest person on Earth, Gelgi was born in Turkey with a rare genetic disorder. She weighed around 13 pounds and measured 23.2 inches (59 cm). For those wondering, these are the measurements of an average two-month-old child.

Gelgi has faced her share of difficulties. She often has to lie down in a van rather than sit to travel. But she is convinced that any weakness can be turned into strength with enough hard work.

In an interview, Gelgi stated, ‘My height may seem like a disadvantage to others, but I have turned it into a blessing for myself. My unique character and differences are rewarded and celebrated.'”
