This charming pony, who appeared to be dead, surprises everyone with its incredible recovery after being rescued.
When volunteers from the British Horse Society came across the body of this pony, they were shocked by the cruelty and neglect it had endured. It was a very sad scene, but upon closer inspection, they realized that the amazing pony was still alive; they could still feel its faint breath.At that moment, they knew they were dealing with one of the most severe cases of neglect they had ever encountered, so they didn’t want to waste a second and immediately focused on helping the animal.Heidi’s incredible journey to recovery, as they decided to name her, would not be easy. Therefore, a group from Here4Horses joined in on this journey, having to innovate to treat Heidi’s wounds and prevent them from worsening due to the pressure associated with her inability to stand on her own.

A representative from Here4Horses Equine Charity told Bored Panda:
“The decision was made to give him a chance, and it took five people to get him back on his feet.”
It took several plasma transfusions and weeks of careful care for Heidi to finally gain the ability to freely run in the shelter pastures. The sudden changes in her life were not easy, but all the efforts of the rescuers paid off, and now Heidi is a very strong and healthy pony, enjoying an incredible life.
Heidi’s story is an inspiring example of what can be achieved when people come together for a meaningful cause, and a reminder of how important it is to treat animals with love and care.
