Bjarne, who was only ten years old at the time, performed Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved” during her audition for The Voice. Last month, the young man blind auditioned for The Voice Kids Germany, and his powerful voice was incredible. The innocent-looking young man came on stage with a stuffed rabbit, but his voice betrayed his advanced age.
At the beginning of the song, Bjarne displayed a rich, low register, and then transitioned into a beautiful high register. The first judge pressed his button before Bjarne had begun singing the chorus, sparking a loud celebration from the singer’s family, who were on stage. By the time the boy finished the chorus, the four judges had already pressed their buttons in support of him, ensuring that he would not go unnoticed.
But Bjarne still had much more to show. He put his heart and soul into the final note before the bridge, leaving judge Lena Meyer-Landrut speechless; she couldn’t lift her jaw off the floor for a long time. Later, she described her voice as having “sounds that seem from heaven.”
The young man had just impressed everyone during his audition. The judges rushed to the stage to clap Bjarne after the performance, and Meyer-Landrut hugged him as he screamed with joy. Both the little singer and his proud mother were overwhelmed with emotion on this monumental occasion. Later, judge Álvaro Soler played the piano and Bjarne and Soler sang a duet of “Another Love Song” by Tom Odell.
